Hey friends, I've got a very specific question about photo management on the iPhone and I'm hoping someone here can help me with it.
I have a ton of photos on my computer from the past 15 years of my life. Many of them are worthless or silly, but there's a bunch of diamonds in the rough. What I'd like to do is transfer all the photos from my computer to my iPhone, and then in my downtime (like when I'm commuting or bored at work) scroll through them on my iPhone and manually delete the ones I don't like. My goal is to eventually end up with a highlight reel on my iPhone of all the best photos from my life.
The problem is that every time I move the photos from my computer to my iPhone, I can't manually delete them from my iPhone. The trash icon literally goes grey when I select them. I've tried this using both iTunes and AnyTrans. I did some research online and it looks like when you move photos from your computer to your iPhone using iTunes or AnyTrans, you can't manually delete them on the iPhone. Instead, you have to use those programs to remove the photos from the iPhone. But having to use the computer defeats my whole purpose of manually deleting the photos on my iPhone during my spare time.
So, can anyone recommend a way that I can move all these photos from my computer to my iPhone, and then manually delete them from the iPhone itself? Thanks so much for all your help!
