Hi! I'm an amateur who's going to take some family photos. These will be individual portraits of our kids, which will eventually be 8X10 in size. The background will be nature (greenery and trees).
We're planning for mid-morning, ideally before the sun gets too high in the sky.
What advice can you offer for taking the highest quality photos possible?
Should I be using portrait mode, or should I take a normal photo and manually adjust exposure and focus?
Must I shoot in a RAW format (means finding someone with the right phone), or is JPG okay?
Thanks!
