Hi r/iPhoneography, hoping you can help me with an upgrade decision as I've never bought a new iPhone before (always hand-me-downs).
I'm currently using an iPhone 6 Plus and would like something iOS 13 compatible and Future Proof. My main use case is casual use (social, email) and I'd love a better camera.
I have an iPhone 7 (brand new from AppleCare+ replacement program) I can use right now...or sell and put towards a move to XS or XR (not interested in Max). All I'm doing is casual pic snapping - will the 7 be a good upgrade?
I'm torn between moving to the 7 and getting on with life, or obsessing over a move to the XS or 11. I can afford XS, but I'm quite frugal and have trouble justifying the $ when I'm using the phone so casually.
Current plan would be to use the 7 for now, then hope the price on the XS drops in Oct., which would then be my "future proof" phone for the next few years until 5G.
Any advice appreciated :)
